Chiropractic
Chiropractic Care:
Chiropractic is the science, philosophy and art of removing nervous interference of the spine by hand. When pressure is applied to the nerves of the spinal column, ultimately each and every cell those nerves control will be adversely affected. By removing that pressure, the cells have the ability to achieve optimum health and function. Whether that is pumping of the heart, feeling of the skin or power of the muscles, each cell needs to be free of interference.
If the interference is the result of trauma, such as injuries from a car crash or work related accident, our thorough examination and x-rays will direct the doctors towards the most effective path of healing. We will discuss and show you in detail the findings of your x-rays and examination and give you our recommendations so you may make the best decision in your treatment needs. Then the specific motions of the chiropractic adjustments will help control the healing nature of the injuries. Without this assistance, the injuries will heal abnormally with limited function and increased discomfort.
It is also important for children to be checked and treated to prevent small problems from becoming major health concerns. By allowing the developing child to be at optimum health on all levels, their potential is substantially increased and their quality of life will reflect it.

Daniel J. Miller, D.C., C.C.S.P.
Dr. Dan has provided chiropractic and rehabilitative care at Northwood Health Center since graduating in 1994. After a football injury in high-school, Dr. Dan was told by his medical doctor that he would be fine in a couple of weeks. Six months later and still unable to stand more than 30 minutes at a time, chiropractic helped him recover and function in his life again. It was then that Dr. Dan knew chiropractic was his future.
Education and Experience:
In addition to graduating from Western States Chiropractic College with a doctorate in chiropractic (D.C.), Dr. Dan has received his degree as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP). He has a strong background in rehabilitation, including strength and conditioning, muscle testing and occupational consulting. He has taken courses on Collision Reconstruction with Texas A&M University as well as many other classes on post-auto collision injuries. He is often called upon by other physicians, attorneys and industrial clients to perform evaluations and impairment ratings on their patients and provide his expert opinion.
Dr. Dan is the current editor for the Chiropractic Association of Oregon’s news publication and has authored publications addressing automobile collision injuries, worker’s compensation injuries, and articles on other areas of health care to better educate the public and other professions that assist in the health care arena.
Dr. Miller’s Philosophy:
Dr. Dan tries to teach and live a life of health for himself and his family. His drug-free philosophy in life is a perfect companion to the philosophy of chiropractic. When the body is allowed to heal itself as God intended, without the use of toxic drugs or invasive surgeries, the outcome will be much healthier and more effective in the long run.
