Massage Therapy
Massage Therapy:
Massage therapy is an essential addition to the services offered at Northwood Health Center. With many therapists on staff, we can provide the specific massage you need in a relaxing and comfortable environment.
When your injured tissues are in the process of repair, it is important to manage the circulation of oxygen and nutrients to the injury and toxic waste away. Your body does not always do this effectively on its own. Massage therapy uses controlled pressures, motions and directions to benefit injured muscles and ligaments safely and effectively and help them heal faster.
The relaxation properties of massage are also necessary by allowing your body to accept the changes placed upon it by the new demands your therapy provides. Tight and tender muscles tend to resist the corrections performed and prevent treatment progress. Massage therapy will help rebalance your muscular tension and assist in recalibrating your structural positions allowing for faster progress with better overall results.
