Daniel J. Miller D.C., P.C.

Dr. Dan has provided chiropractic and rehabilitative care at Northwood Health Center since graduating in 1994. After a football injury in high-school, Dr. Dan was told by his medical doctor that he would be fine in a couple of weeks. Six months later and still unable to stand more than 30 minutes at a time, chiropractic helped him recover and function in his life again. It was then that Dr. Dan knew chiropractic was his future.

In addition to graduating from Western States Chiropractic College with a doctorate in chiropractic (D.C.), Dr. Dan has completed certification courses in Sports Medicine, Collision Reconstruction with Texas A&M University and Brain Traumatology.

Dr. Dan has been awarded “Chiropractor of the Year”  in 2004 from the Chiropractic Association of Oregon and for 2018 by the Oregon Chiropractic Association.  He has served on many professional Boards and Committees working to protect the rights of injured Oregonians as well as keeping the chiropractic profession accountable for appropriate care and proper patient management.

Dr. Dan tries to teach and live a life of health for himself and his family. His drug-free philosophy in life is a perfect companion to the philosophy of chiropractic. When the body is allowed to heal itself as God intended, without the use of toxic drugs or invasive surgeries, the outcome will be much healthier and more effective in the long run.

Maksim Shcheglyak, L.Ac., MSTOM

Maksim “Max” Shcheglyak has been fascinated with the art of Chinese medicine since he was a kid. During his childhood years whenever he experienced any sickness, his beloved grandmother would use herbal medicine in order to treat him. The effectiveness of natural herbs inspired him to pursue a career in herbology.

Max’s path led him to the state of California and the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, where he was introduced to the medical modality of acupuncture. He was really amazed with acupuncture as it helped him treat many of his own health issues, including bronchitis, allergies and a digestive disorder. Later he went to the South Baylo University where he learned more about acupuncture, herbal medicine, and Chinese massage therapy. He graduated in 2015 with a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine.

Max really enjoys helping people to get better and always educates his patients on how to take good care of their body and mind. He strongly believes that every human has the power to treat themselves with the right guidance. With the use of acupuncture points and herbs Maksim helps the body by guiding its natural resources to the affected area in order to provide accelerated healing.
